DVD, the final frontier...
The long awaited Star Trek: The Animated Series coming to DVD on November 21, 2006.
TV Shows On DVD has announced that Paramount Home Entertainment and CBS DVD are going to release Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek: The Animated Series, a four-disc set that will retail for $35.00. The series, produced by Filmation, aired Saturday mornings on NBC-TV beginning in 1973. I guess it soon will be time for me to give my laser disc copy of the series a well deserved rest!

BCI has sent out a press release announcing Defenders of The Earth, Volume One - a five-disc set scheduled to be released October 10 for a SRP of $39.98.
This 1986 series took place in the year 2015, with Ming the Merciless wreaking havoc on planet Earth and having intentions to take anyone in his way out. The only thing standing in his way is a team of the world's greatest heroes; space explorer Flash Gordon, "The Ghost Who Walks" The Phantom, the great magician Mandrake and his assistant the super-strong Lothar. They are aided by their children Rick Gordon, Jedda Walker, Kshin, and L.J. in their quest to stop Ming once and for all. Updates to the web site
The announcement of the Groovie Goolies DVD release reminded me that I have wanted to post new pictures of the Saturday Superstar Movie entry, Daffy Duck and Porky Pig Meet the Groovie Goolies. I also posted pictures on the Rod Rocket page from one of Filmations' first productions, "His Mother Marveled", an animated feature based on the life of Jesus.
You can check out all of the recent updates to the web site by going to the Update page.
