American International Television commissioned the production of Sinbad Jr. animated cartoons beginning in 1965. The first season was produced by Sam Singer, with Hanna-Barbera taking over production in 1966. Included on this DVD are: "Tin Can Man" (H-B), "Kooky Spooky" (H-B), "Sea Horse Laughs" (H-B), "Abou Ben Blubbo" (H-B), "Instant Nothing" (S.S.), "Tick Bird" (S.S.), "Thunder Lizards" (S.S.), and "The Mummy" (S.S.).
Hanna-Barbera's Young Samson was first seen September 9, 1967 on
NBC-TV. Production was commissioned by General Mills' advertising agency and the
series included other components from Total TV and Jay Ward. Included on this
DVD is an episode featuring Young Samson in "Operation Peril",
The Sing-A-Long Family (Total TV) in "Nothing Like A Picnic",
The Go Go Gophers (Total TV) in "Crash Diet", and
Fractured Fairy Tales (Jay Ward) "Leaping Beauty".
Hanna-Barbera was commissioned by Paramount Television to produce two
animated segments for it's Love American Style series. One of the segments, "Love
And The Private Eye", is featured on this DVD and has Richard
Dawson as the voice of Melvin Danger, a private eye who also happens to be a
master of disguises. Originally aired January 28, 1972 on ABC-TV.
Hanna-Barbera was commissioned by Leisure Concepts, Inc. to produce an animated version of the fictional Chinese detective, Charlie Chan. The series, entitled The Amazing Chan And The Chan Clan, teamed Chan with his ten off-spring in comic adventures. "Eye Of The Idol" is the episode on this DVD and features Keye Luke as the voice of the elder Chan. The series originally aired from September 9, 1972 through September 22, 1974 on CBS-TV.
