Based upon the prime-time Lassie series, this animated pilot for the Lassie's Rescue Rangers series appeared as part of The ABC Saturday Superstar Movies. The cartoon was produced by Filmation and told the story of how Lassie, Toothless the Lion, and other forest creatures help save the peaceful beauty of the Thunder Mountain Indian Reservation from destruction by a group of land developers.
